My favorite wild animal is a African Loin. I'm going to tell you about Lions. The Lion is a mammal, and he is a carnivore. The size from the head to it's torso of the Lion is 4.5 to 6.5ft. It's tail is 26.25 to 39.5 in. It weight 265 to 420 lbs. A group of Lions is called a pride. The only cats that live in groups are Lions. The pride are family units that may only have three males and more then a dozen female, and their cubs. All of the pride Lionesses are related, and female cubs they typically stay in the group as they age. Young males will eventually leave and establish their own prides, by taking over a group headed by another male. Only male Lions boast beautiful manes, the mane circles their necks. Males defend the pride's territory, which may included 100 square miles. The males roar warnings the intruders, and chase off animals. Female Lions are the prides primary hunters. They often work together to prey upon the Zebras, Antelopes, wildebeest, and any other large animals of the open grass. Many of these animals are faster then the Lions, so team work pays off. After the hunt, the group effort often degenerates to squadding over the share of the kill, with the cubs at the bottom of the peck. young Lions don't help hunt until they are one.
I want to write about a Siberian Tiger but I don't have time.
